Julia says:

To me, celebrating is about being in the moment, appreciating and honoring how you feel, what you have, who you're with, and where you're at in life. I wanted this month's art to show someone mid-celebration, surrounded by winter citrus against bright blues and greens that nod to snow, ice, and dark winter verdure like holly and fir trees. Taking time to pause and celebrate is fun and rejuvenating.

WHO IS JULIA?

Julia Barry is an artist, teacher, and nature-lover working toward a healthier planet. She creates sustainable goods, green resources, and community spaces to inspire joyful, sustainable habits in the everyday.

Julia is particularly active in her New York City homebase, taking part in programs that emphasize community, collaboration, and creative vibrance. She has also been accepted to numerous residencies across the country, and enjoys partnering on new projects such as her empathy-building community arts project, “Habitat: Home.”

She has served as a grant advisor at The Pollination Project and board member for the climate podcast, Threshold.

She lives with her many plants, tiny rescue dog, and husband in Brooklyn, NY.
